Who we are
This site is run for Onga, a brand of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, which is the data controller for the Food My Way promotion. [to confirm: data protection contact]
What we collect
If you enter: your display name, state and city, optional social handle, full legal name, phone number, email address, date of birth, your video, photo and story, your answers about your kitchen, and the permissions you give.
If you vote: your phone number, to send the one-time code and keep voting to one vote per person.
Basic usage data such as which pages are visited, without your contact details attached.
What we show publicly
Only your display name, state and city, photo, video and story. Never your phone number, email, date of birth, legal name, address or anything about your home.
Why we use it
To run the promotion: verify entrants and voters, review entries, count votes, contact entrants about their entry by email and SMS, prevent fraud, and contact and verify winners.
To contact you about future Food My Way activity, only if you said yes.
Who we share it with
Service providers who run parts of the site for us: hosting and video (Cloudflare), SMS codes and email notifications. [to confirm: SMS and email providers] They may only use it to provide that service.
How long we keep it
Entry and voting data is kept for the promotion and up to twelve months after it, then deleted. Published entries stay on the site for that period unless you ask us to remove yours.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw a permission, or object to how it is used, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. [to confirm: contact email]
